Third renewable energy bid round delayed by eight months

THE Department of Energy has delayed the third round of bidding for renewable energy suppliers by eight months until May 2013.
In a briefing note sent to bidders late last week, the department said the delay was necessary due to the time needed to obtain financial closure on the first and second round of bidders — windows one and two of the renewable energy programme — and to update the request for proposals. Read more…
