Membership Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions sets out the terms and conditions upon which SAPVIA provides its membership services to members and the public.

  3. Membership with SAPVIA is governed by the latest approved version of the SAPVIA Constitution. It is the member’s responsibility to become familiar with the contents of the Constitution.
  4. By being a member of SAPVIA, and renewing annually, the Member hereby agrees and undertakes to adhere to the SAPVIA Member Code of Conduct. Members found in contravention of the Member CodeConduct may be subject to a Disciplinary Review and ultimately have their membership revoked.
  5. Should a member be suspected of transgressing the SAPVIA Code of Conduct, a complaint may be lodged with SAPVIA.
  6. Membership is renewable on an annual basis. Members will be liable to pay SAPVIA the invoiced annual membership subscription fee upon presentation of such invoice by SAPVIA and no later than 60 (sixty) calendar days of receipt thereof. The Member’s SAPVIA membership will only become active upon payment of the full invoiced amount.
  7. Any invoices will be valid for 60 days, after which the invoice will be voided and the application for membership cancelled.
  8. Invoices for renewal of annual membership are issued in March of every year payment and payment is due by the end of June of the same year (unless advised otherwise by SAPVIA in writing). If the member is not intending to renew their membership, the member must notify SAPVIA in writing of intended membership resignation which will result in the membership being cancelled. Failing formal resignation of membership, should payment not be received by the stipulated date or other subsequent date as advised by SAPVIA, the Member’s SAPVIA membership will be cancelled, and the member notified accordingly.
  9. Annual membership subscription fees and annual increases are reviewed and determined annually by SAPVIA Management Committee.
  10. Member may cancel their SAPVIA annual membership on written notice to SAPVIA. If a member cancels their membership before the term expires on 31 March, no refund will be considered.
  11. Upon application, an online Glue Up Member profile account will be automatically created for each Member and each Member will receive an activation invite email for first time access to their user profile account.
  12. It is the responsibility of the Member to ensure their contact details and all other personal information provided in their user profile account is accurate and kept up to date.
  13. By providing SAPVIA with personal information, the member gives consent to SAPVIA to process this information in order to provide member benefits and services. Please refer to clause 14.c below.
  14. Membership Benefits:
    1. Member benefits are provided as indicated in the member value proposition. Members can review/access all current member benefits available to them via SAPVIA’s member benefits webpage, which is available on our website:
    2. Any changes to member benefits will be communicated to Members through electronic communications and updated on the SAPVIA member benefits webpage timeously.
    3. Certain Member benefits require SAPVIA to share member information with the service provider. In becoming a SAPVIA member, the Member consents to SAPVIA sharing such information with the service provider. If a member does not wish to partake in any or all the member benefits programme, they must inform the SAPVIA membership department in writing.
  15. Applicants applying for SAPVIA Membership may qualify for discounts if they are Non-Profit Organisations (“NPO”), adequate proof of NPO status in the form of a copy of registration certificate will be required.
  16. SAPVIA shall ensure confidentiality of information provided to it and agrees to hold it in strict confidence.
  17. SAPVIA undertakes to comply with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 with regards to any personal information provided or obtained by SAPVIA through the relationship with the Member or persons. For further details on SAPVIA’s collection and use of personal information, the SAPVIA Privacy Policy is accessible via the SAPVIA website.
