SAPVIA’s 19th Networking Event: 9 December 2015
On the 9th of December 2015, SAPVIA held its 19th and final Networking event for the year at The Capital Moloko Hotel in Johannesburg.
SAPVIA’s CEO, Moeketsi Thobela, initiated the day’s proceedings with an overview of the year’s activities and accomplishments and provided some insights as to what 2016 has in store for SAPVIA and its members.
Jason van der Poel, Partner at Allen & Overy (South Africa) LLP provided the first presentation for the afternoon which delved into the topic of “Early connection as a selection criterion under the REIPPPP”. The presentation can be downloaded here.
Kevin Leask, Chief Engineer of Eskom’s Strategic Grid Planning Unit provided the second presentation of the afternoon, covering the topics of “Eskom’s Transmission Development Plan 2016 – 2025” and “Renewable Energy’s Impact on Grid Capacity”. Kevin’s presentation can be downloaded here.
