France, Germany to fund renewables in Africa

France will commit €2-billion towards boosting renewable energy in Africa before 2020, President Francois Hollande said on Tuesday. Hollande made the announcement after meeting with the heads of state from 12 African countries gathered at an international climate summit near Paris for negotiations on a global agreement to limit man-made emissions that cause climate change.
