Updated RFP doc for IPPP programme to be released
7 June 2012: SAPVIA has been liaising with the Dti regarding the definition of local content as referred to in the RFP documentation released to bidders participating in the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (RE IPPPP). During meetings between SAPVIA and the Dti it was concluded that a more detailed, less ambiguous definition of local content was required. On this note the Dti has informed SAPVIA that a detailed version of the local content definition has been submitted to National Treasury who will be compiling an updated RFP document that will include all the briefing notes released thus far as well as the updated, detailed definition of local content. The updated RFP document will be made available on the IPP website.
Treasury has also indicated that they hope to release the RFP documents for the small scale RE IPPPP on Wednesday next week.
