SAPVIA held it’s 6th Networking Event on 20 February 2013 at the Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg. The first presentation of the afternoon was given by Ronald Marais – Eskom Strategic Planning Manager. Ronald provided the audience with information on Eskom’s geospatial integration strategy for Independent Power Producers and his presentation can be downloaded here. Theo Fischer – EScience Associates Managing Director – gave the second presentation and provided the audience with the preliminary findings of the Dti / WWF / SAPVIA commissioned study on the localisation potential of SA’s PV industry. His presentation then moved onto a discussion around the proposed strategy for local industry development. Theo’s presentation can be downloaded here. Thank you to all who attended the event.
