SAPVIA 2nd Networking Event: Feedback and Presentations
SAPVIA held it’s second networking event on the 22nd of February at the Michelangelo Hotel in Johannesburg. 65 people attended the event and SAPVIA would like to say a warm thank you to our event sponsor, Mainstream Renewable Power SA, for making the event possible.
Mark Gordon, DEA Strategic Advisor on Energy and Climate Change, and Gerhard Fourie, Dti Chief Director for Green Industries, were the guest speakers at the event.
Mr. Gordon gave a presentation on the COP17 outcomes and future funding potential for renewables, while Mr. Fourie presented on the localisation of equipment for the RE IPP programme, focusing on the challenges, the progress made and action plans for moving forward.
The presentations were followed by snacks and beverages and opportunity for guests to network.
