HONOURING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE MATRIC CLASS OF 2022

Gamagra Local Municipality, Northern Cape

A recent Matric well-done ceremony, honouring academic achievers from Langberg High School and Gamagara High School, was attended by officials and other key stakeholders. This inaugural event was funded by REISA Solar, with the aim of appreciating Grade 12 learners who have excelled academically and to provide a platform that encourages learners in other grades to strive for excellence too.

“We are delighted to support the academic achievements of these learners. These young people have worked hard to achieve their goals and deserve recognition for their dedication and commitment to their studies,” said Nomfundo Mpompo, REISA Solar’s Community Liaison Officer.

During the event, which was attended by the Department of Education’s Circuit Manager responsible for the schools in the Gamagara Local Municipality, as well as the school social workers, teachers, and parents, the top-achieving learners in each of the beneficiary schools were awarded laptops and certificates.

“We believe in the power of education and the role it plays in transforming lives,” added Mpompo. “We hope that our support will not only show appreciation to these learners but also inspire them to continue working hard and achieve great things in their academic and personal lives.”

As the first successful ceremony, REISA Solar hopes it will become an annual event to recognise and appreciate the academic achievements of learners in these schools.

“On behalf of Langberg learners, I would like to thank REISA for the wonderful gift. We know it will be useful, and we’ll accomplish a lot with it. We dearly appreciate it, and we ask REISA to continue doing the best for learners,” said Pedro Neels, a top achiever at Langberg High School.
