Financial close for third window renewables projects shifted to November

Financial close for bid window three under South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) has been extended from the end of July to November, Energy MinisterTina Joemat-Pettersson revealed on Monday.
Delivering her Budget Vote in Parliament, the Minister said the decision to shift the deadline had been guided by factors such as the volatility of the rand and had been made following consultations with the National Treasury and the South African Reserve Bank. Read more…
