Draft Survey Questionnaire
Dear IPP,
The EOSS is currently undertaking a process of the development of the Single Window Application Process (SWAP) which will be a platform for IPPs to lodge all applications for the required authorisations and licences.
As part of the of the SWAP, key municipal processes are being identified and mapped based on engagements with various stakeholders such as IPPs, lenders and municipalities. This complements work undertaken already with the World Bank Group to map and streamline the national level permits – which has been completed.
Invitation to participate in Survey
We are inviting IPPs to participate in a survey that will help us obtain information regarding the municipal level project development processes.
Who should respond?
Renewable energy projects IPPs, with projects over 1MW. Priority is being given to those that have reached financial close.
Why should I respond?
Your responses will be treated confidentially and used to inform recommendations for the Single Window Application Portal (SWAP) platform, potential regulatory reforms and optimisation and streamlining of municipal processes. Our intended outcomes are that IPP projects can have a smoother passage to completion.

What is the timeframe?
Deadline for responses: 12 noon SAST Wednesday 17th September.
