Position: After-Sales Team Leader – South Africa

Location: Honeydew, Gauteng (Office-based)
Job Purpose
The Aftersales Team Leader will be responsible for leading and managing the aftersales technical support function for Solis inverter products in South Africa.
The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support, managing RMA processes, supporting customers and distribution partners, and contributing to continuous product and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for all Solis inverter related products and services
- Drive technical support across both commercial and residential product portfolios, providing feedback for product improvement and portfolio changes
- Establish and maintain effective customer and distributor relationships by personally resolving all technical issues and responding to enquiries
- Conduct face-to-face customer site visits when required
- Assist with technical support and RMA processes, including fault evaluation and reporting
- Deliver technical training sessions when required
- Participate in exhibitions when required
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in renewable energy solutions and related technology, with a commitment to continuous professional development
- Support and maintain the Service Desk platform (Freshdesk)
- Ensure timely reporting to HQ particularly with regards to RMA reporting
- Develop and maintain application notes, installation notes, and technical videos in collaboration with the local team
- Conduct testing and evaluation of faulty systems as requested by clients
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and distribution partners
- Traveling locally, nationally and internationally as required to fulfil job responsibilities
- Take responsibility for main laboratory testing of residential products and assist with commercial product testing
- Manage, control, and report on RMA procedures and processes
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with Solis inverter products will be a distinct advantage
- Electrical or electronic qualification with proven installation experience within the solar industry
- Proven experience managing an aftersales or technical service team
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Must have own reliable vehicle
