SAPVIA’s Submission to ITAC on Tariff Review
Dear Members,
Following the recent publication of Notice 3142 of 2025 by the International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) regarding the proposed review of tariffs on input materials, components, and final products used in the renewable energy value chain, SAPVIA reached out to its members and key stakeholders to gather comments and insights.
Based on these engagements, a consolidated submission was prepared and formally submitted to ITAC on 5 June 2025. The submission consolidates inputs received from SAPVIA members and draws on insights from previous industry localisation studies. It outlines key considerations regarding proposed tariff changes, rebate structures, local content requirements, and potential impacts on the solar PV industry.
This document reflects the collective feedback of the industry and aims to support an enabling policy and trade framework for the renewable energy sector.
