SAPVIA Networking Event – 28 September 2017 – Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, Cape Town

SAPVIA held another of it’s popular Networking Events at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, in Cape Town on Thursday, 28 September 2017.
By all accounts, the event was well received and attended.
SAPVIA’s Programme Manager, Niveshen Govender, welcomed all present and provided an update on the Association’s recent activities.
Christopher Gross, Advisor Renewable Energy, GIZ, started off the day’s proceedings with a presentation on Harmonized Solar PV Application and permitting procedures in municipalities.
The second presentation of the day was led by Dr Peter Klein, Senior Researcher: Renewable Energy Technologies, CSIR Energy Centre.  He shared his perspective on “Energy storage use cases for enhancing grid flexibility in the South African context”. 
One of the event co-sponsors, AGE Technologies’ Director, Michael Powell, shared some insights into who and what AGE Technologies are/does by way of a presentation entitled “Balance of plant”.
