Invite to GSC COP30 Belem Brazil party
This year marks a decade since the Global Solar Council, the world solar and battery storage industry association, was launched alongside the Paris Agreement at COP21 Paris.
We were founded on the belief that solar energy is one of the world’s most important solutions to deliver 1.5-2C, climate resilience and help shift financial flows to clean energy.
Since then, solar PV has become the fastest-growing and lowest cost source of electricity in history, and GSC has grown into the unified voice of a global industry.
Thanks to the work of GSC’s members in every corner of the globe, we have shown the world what is #PossibleWithSolar+Storage.
To mark this important milestone for GSC and the solar plus storage industry, we are delighted to invite you to an exclusive party at COP30 on Energy Day in Belém, Brazil.
Key Event Details

What to Expect?
This celebration will bring together the global solar and storage community and all of its supporters including governments, investors, civil society and business to celebrate a decade of impact, collaboration, and progress. This will be a moment to pause amid the intensity of COP and reconnect — over music, good food, and shared purpose — before stepping into the next decade of clean energy transformation together.
Guests will be welcomed with traditional Brazilian refreshments and brief remarks from industry leaders. The night will feature inspiring words from solar visionaries, followed by live music and dance performances from local artists.
In particular, we are delighted to announce that Grammy nominated artist and solar champion Antonique Smith will be giving us a rendition of the anthem “Here Comes the Sun”.
As the evening unfolds, enjoy signature solar plus storage cocktails, vibrant networking opportunities, and a few special surprises designed to make this a night to remember – a true celebration of solar leadership and collaboration.
More than a reception, this anniversary celebration is a tribute to the partnerships, people, and ideas that have made the Global Solar Council and the solar plus storage industry what it is today — and an invitation to imagine, together, the decade ahead.
