Eskom offers industry cheaper surplus power

STATE-owned power utility Eskom is willing to renegotiate tariffs with large industrial customers as it expects to have a surplus of electricity by 2022, executives say.
From 2008 to 2015, Eskom resorted to load shedding because of plant breakdowns and late delivery of its new power stations, Medupi and Kusile. It entered into agreements with major customers to cut electricity consumption in periods of peak demand.  Read more here…
