Established in 2008, Mulilo has experienced tremendous success in the South African renewable energy industry. This success has resulted in Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners – the world’s leading renewable energy private equity investor – acquiring a majority shareholding in the company in 2023.
Mulilo has experienced success in both the private and public sectors of the market, with multiple Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)s signed with both large corporate energy users and the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, through its Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP).
Mulilo aims to bring 5GW of renewable energy and battery energy storage projects into construction and operation by 2028.
We currently operate 420 MW of wind and solar projects, with 667 MW in construction, approximately 1500 MW nearing Financial Close and have a long-term development pipeline of over 30 GW.
Mulilo owes its success to the dedication and contributions of its people and the strength of its culture. The company takes immense pride in fostering a world-class working environment that supports its team of the best and brightest, optimising and leveraging their unique skills to their fullest potential.
