Call for Nomination for a seat in SAPVIA Governing Committee
Dear SAPVIA Full/Sponsor Members,

In preparation for the SAPVIA AGM:

This email serves as an invitation for all SAPVIA’s Paid Up Ordinary (Full) members and Sponsor Members to send in nominations for representation on SAPVIA’s Governing Committee.
There are four seats to be filled on the Governing Committee this year as the terms of the following GovCo members draw to a close:
- Norman Moyo
- DeVilliers Botha
- Jonathan Frick
- Khotso Selokoma
Previous GovCo members are eligible to be voted onto the Governing Committee again if they wish to avail themselves but are required to follow the standard nomination/election process.
All nominations to include a high resolution picture and short biography (approximately 250 words) of the nominee along with a profile picture and must be sent to zimkita@sapvia.co.za on or before COB, Monday 09 June 2025.
Please note a nomination to the Governing Committee requires a commitment to carry out relevant governing committee duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Attending monthly SAPVIA GovCo meetings
- Representing SAPVIA in Government discussions, meetings and various fora as agreed and as identified from time to time
- Providing oversight to the working groups as may be required
- Participating in key industry discussions/conferences as may be required
- Meeting with potential SAPVIA members
- Providing oversight to SAPVIA research studies
Clause 7.7.4 of the constitution indicates that If insufficient nominations are received to fill the positions on the Governing Committee, those Commissioners voted onto the Governing Committee shall ensure that a second voting opportunity is provided to fill the vacancies in the Governing Committee, within one month of their appointment onto the Committee.
