Avis Car Rental continues to strengthen its leadership in sustainability through a national solar rollout across its South African operations, spanning from airports, business parks, city centres, malls, and their car dealerships.
This renewable energy initiative, implemented in partnership with Divaine Growth Solutions, demonstrates how commercial enterprises can integrate clean energy into core business operations while enhancing resilience and reducing environmental impact.
The project includes Solar PV Systems, Inverters and Battery Storage solutions designed to reduce reliance on the national grid, mitigate the effects of power disruption due to maintenance, and ensure business continuity, while caring for the environment.
As the leading voice of solar PV in South Africa, the (SAPVIA) South African Photovoltaic Industry Association recognizes initiatives of this scale as critical to accelerating South Africa’s energy transition.
