Position: Junior Technical Support Engineer – South Africa

Travel Required: Yes
Location: Honeydew, Gauteng (Office-based)
Job Purpose
The Junior Technical Support Engineer will support the aftersales technical operations for Solis inverter products in South Africa.
This role provides hands-on exposure to technical support, customer assistance, and continuous improvement of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for Solis inverter products and services
- Drive technical support across both commercial and residential product portfolios, providing feedback for product improvement and portfolio changes
- Establish and maintain effective customer and distributor relationships by personally resolving all technical issues and responding to enquiries
- Assist with technical support and RMA processes, including fault evaluation and reporting
- Participate in exhibitions when required
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in renewable energy solutions and related technology, with a commitment to continuous professional development
- Support and maintain the Service Desk platform (Freshdesk)
- Conduct testing and evaluation of faulty systems as requested by clients
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and distribution partners
- Traveling locally, nationally and internationally as required to fulfil job responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with Solis inverter products will be a distinct advantage
- Electrical or electronic qualification with proven installation experience within the solar industry
- Proven experience in aftersales or technical service team
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Must have own reliable vehicle
