Topic: Bid winners perspective – case study of a winning bid

Chris is the chairperson and founding member of the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association – otherwise known as SAPVIA – as well as the director and co-founder of Aurora Power Solutions, a photovoltaic project development and consulting company.

   
Chris has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from UCt and a PhD in Engineering from Oxford, and has completed a RENAC Course on Policy Framework for Deployment of PV in developing Countries.

SAPVIA is a not-for-profit association representing members largely made up of developers, manufacturers and service providers operating within the PV industry. Founded in October 2010, SAPVIA currently has 70 registered members and is devoted to promoting the growth of South Africa’s solar PV electricity market, representing the PV industry before provincial and national authorities, as well as informing decision makers as to the current state of the industry, both in South Africa and abroad.

  The programme will be separated into clearly defined ½ day modules, each featuring international and local experts and concluding with a facilitated panel discussion with the speakers from that module.

Modules are structured so as to be attractive to all stakeholders, but will allow people to choose not to attend all sessions without losing any coherence, and CPD credits will also be structured accordingly.
