German South African Business Forum 2012

22-23 October 2012:
The Afrika-Verein (AV) and the Southern African – German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) are organising within the framework of the Southern Africa Initiative of German Business (SAFRI) together with the Federation of German Industry (BDI), the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry
and Commerce (DIHK) – the 3rd German-South African Business Forum from the 22nd – 23rd October at the Haus der deutschen Wirtschaft in Berlin.
The Business Forum provides the biggest platform for German-South African cooperation in the private sector and high ranking representatives from German and South African business and politics will be present. South Africa continues to be interested in Germany as a partner to engage with in almost every economic sector. Important economic topics surrounding the renewable energy
sector fall within the scope of the current Year of Science 2012/2013.
Our established forum deals with up to date economic and political developments with a focus on the business potential of German-South African cooperation. This year the two day event will focus on current projects and opportunities for economic involvement namely: transportation, urban development, the sustainable use of natural resources e.g. manufacturing, environment and security
of supply and electricity production (renewable and conventional). Opportunities, success stories and barriers of the German-South African Partnership as well as the Regional Infrastructure Plan of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) will also be discussed.
